Saturated fat and anti aging

People who want to keep themselves young and healthy must focus on these two main facts, avoid high calorie food and avoid taking food rich in saturated fat. Anti-aging techniques helps us fight aging by focusing on these facts only. Saturated fat is easily converted into body fat and thus reducing the fat intake is very important in controlling the weight gain associated with aging.

One must avoid the following food items if he/she is trying to prevent aging or reduce aging.
1. Fried food, these are items that are rich in saturated fat, oil and high calories. Thus these result in cholesterol and obesity.
2. Creams and cheese. Creams contain a lot of fat and will result in weight gain.
3. Processed food such as cakes and cookies.
4. Food items such as beef, butter, and diary products. These are rich in saturated fat and thus cause cholesterol level in the blood to increase and thus causing heart diseases.

Though intake of fat hinders the anti-aging efforts, fat is not our enemy. Fat provides us with limitless amount of energy. Certain fatty acids are also necessary for good health. Some fat-soluble vitamins also require fats to get absorbed into the system. People who have lost weight due to poor appetite need to consume a moderate amount of dietary fat to put on some weight.

Unsaturated fats, especially monounsaturated fat are very good for health. It helps in reducing the bad cholesterol in our body. These fats are found in nuts, fruits such as avocado, vegetable oils, seeds and soft margarine products.
